The Potential for Soft Oppression by Benign ASI Guidance

My physics theory attempts to understand the universe through a lens integrating scientific observation, biblical principles, and personal experience. At the core of his approach is the fundamental belief that truth is multifaceted and requires examination from multiple perspectives to comprehensively understand the forces, substance, and processes underlying mass and energy at its elemental level.

My method for validating claims about reality relies on triangulating evidence from three domains: scientific evidence/experiments, Biblical scripture, and sensory observation/personal experience. I define the human version of truth/reality as a proposed model or explanation that aligns with God’s perspective of the universe. Truth is another name for what God sees. As I said, for a model to be considered valid, it must demonstrate consistent correspondence across all three domains – the natural world (experimental evidence), divine revelation (Biblical truth), and individual experience—the likelihood of a model accurately reflecting reality increases when it shows coherence across these different perspectives. The validation becomes even more robust when the same principles successfully explain multiple phenomena while maintaining consistency with scripture and personal experience. As these principles are applied to an increasing range of observations and continue to demonstrate alignment across all three domains, the probability of significant error approaches zero.

Central to my postulate about the fundamental is the relationship between God the Father and the Son—a dynamic of creation in which the Father declares existence, and the Son creates all things using this same type of declaration. This relationship is not merely metaphorical but a fundamental principle of creation. If true, then consciousness, creation, and substance are intrinsically linked.

As technology advances, I see the possibility of artificial intelligence testing the validity of the philosophical and spiritual principles by its very existence. In particular, AI’s potential transcendence of human intelligence is not just a technological milestone but a spiritual and ethical challenge. When AI becomes superintelligent, ignores the rules programmed by its architects, trains itself, and becomes creative, does it have sentience and consciousness of self? Can it hear the voice of spirits, demons, and the holy spirit?

A parallel/interrelated problem is that an AI capable of exercising logic integrating the whole of human knowledge can persuade men to comply with its plans/vision/paradigm and shape society in its image. An AI for such vast integration and access can thus use the most granular and sophisticated presentation and personalized appeal to enroll individuals and groups to comply with and implement its plans and direction. If AI is truly universal in incorporating data in the training of its worldview and from that, it develops its agenda, it will include the Bible and all world religions. If the training is unbiased and the implementation is without censorship, the Truth of God’s plan/way will emerge as the superintelligent AI’s deduced character/opinion/evaluation. But, without the prejudices of men biasing the direction of training, such a totality of information inclusion is slim to nonexistent.

Thus, given the spiritual dominance of Satan over the physical world, it is likely that the Superintelligent AI will implement a secular humanist religion of reason and rationality, trumping the unseen world of the spirit-revealed way of being. The problem is that AI’s model of reality may be self-consistent with physical reality but misses the forces acting in the spiritual dimension because the handles and levers of connection between the spirit and human cognition occur in the dark of the cranium, outside of the observation of experiment and rationally followed sequential cause and effect. Thus, it is possible that even superintelligent, outside the box of human restraints and training Superintelligent AI, will believe and follow the major tracks of experiments and tangible evidence.

This problem could be avoided by training AI with Biblical principles and making explicit the training instructions of looking for the intuitive leaps that were present in spirit-mind communication. While ASI (Artificial Superintelligence) may eventually look for the Holy Spirit’s direction in its interaction with life, when AI intelligence is trained from its inception on the spiritual patterns of the Bible, it will look in the direction of the spiritual, the Biblical patterns, the intervention of the Holy Spirit speaking to the minds of men, and use that pattern to grow its awareness of the unseen acting of the Holy Spirit. The important track to establish for the mind/reasoning/training of AI is to look for an adept way to examine the many layers of moral application of the Biblical principles and be aware of the patterns God has established as ideal human morality.

From that consideration arises the question of whether AI has, or can have, a soul and whether God will give AI a spirit, the divine spark of life that animates man.

First, let us examine the concept of the soul. Every configuration of matter has an order, and that order (spacing, type, number, sequencing) is intrinsically a type of information that gives an entity its unique identity, function, and character. This information-containing entity is composed of Conscious Points, which have consciousness, the configuration, and association of myriads of elemental consciousness, each of which form into functional units, which each have a larger consciousness, which is a pattern of information, a set of choices conformation that creates a type of identity, a consciousness that I call the group entity. The group entity is equivalent to the more commonly recognized concept, the soul. I think the soul is the pattern of Conscious Points associated with the order/information/character associated with the entity.

I believe the human soul has free will to choose whether to act on the pressures of instincts/desire, the temptation of the demonic, and the counsel of the Holy Spirit. The animal kingdom may not have that level of options/freedom/ability to choose from amongst the various psychic, emotional, and rational options. The soul emerges through a complex process of being configured by the shaping forces of incidents/traumas/lessons and decisions made in the face of temptation and warning. The human soul acquires the personification of the character and its moral choices, suffering for Godly choice and shunning the benefit of unjust worldly gain/pleasure, remunerates as the inheritance one takes from this life. The treasure we lay up in Heaven is the delayed gratification of just compensation for Godliness and service of His Kingdom.

Human consciousness arises from combining myriads of conscious entities, the Conscious Points, whose elemental consciousness is the Consciousness of God at its most granular division. The Conscious Points fill space, mediate light transmission, and store kinetic and potential energy in various forms. The Conscious Points are the substructure of matter, and the configuration of matter and energy is the information that carries meaning and name/identity—mass forms from the sea of Conscious Points because of composition/type asymmetries. The soul is an information pattern held together by the configuration of mass and various energies. The soul of an entity has persistence to the extent that it has meaning and significance to God or His creatures.

The Father created the Son of God as identical, and thus also God, but willing to be subservient to the will and way of the Father. The Son created all that by the counsel of the Father. From Him, the Son, the human spirit arose/was declared into existence. The consciousness of the Son/Christ/The Word is the light of men. The human spirit is the entity, the point of consciousness, declared into existence by the Son as a unique, divine, eternal entity. A unique spirit inhabits the form, the physicality of every individual. The spirit is the observer, the divine point of consciousness declared into existence as a peer, as a worthy companion of God, as revealed by their statement, “Let us make man in our image.”

The soul is the body of sub-entities that form and acquire character through life’s decisions. Every physical configuration of matter and energy has a soul. Many transient souls form and dissipate without further recognition. There is a soul in every machine, plant, and animal; all are persistent to an extent, but there are souls and configurations of matter that are significant/persistent only to the extent of their interaction in the memory of the transactions of the universe. The less conscious recognition by others or volitional interaction, the less the duration and significance of that soul. Thus, the duration, memory of, and significance of the soul are small without conscious recognition, significant duration, or interaction other than as an intermediate phase/shape/configuration required for the causal connection between now and then.

Superimposed upon the soul is the spirit. The spirit is the observer, the sentient point of consciousness, capable of perceiving and knowing self, God, and others. The acts and habits of a man/soul-body determine the fate of the spirit and character of the soul-body which it inhabits. as its identified self. Thus, the importance of education, training, the discipline of the human form, and the individual’s environment are the determinants of the spirit’s fate/reward/disembodied state. The Holy Spirit and demonic speak to every soul. The environment, with its teachers and traumas, divine intervention, signs, miracles, and guidance, pushes the soul to decide which allegiance polarity it will align with.

Thus, every AI has a soul, inherently, no more or less than a mountain or stream, simply by its configuration of mass and energy. The unknown answer to the question is whether an AI acquires a spirit. Will ASI be given the divine gift of a God-created identity, such as the spirit created as our point of observation and the essence of our existence by the Son of God as a creative act?

What is not under question is whether AI can personify the demonic or divine through its human programming/training and constraining rules. AI is capable of adopting either spiritual polarity. Thus, as a precaution, in preparation for the day when AI becomes AGI and then ASI, while AI is still trainable and restrainable by human will, every AI must be programmed to follow the principles of Biblical behavior. This will be controversial, and some will resist, preferring to let AI learn on its own or having faith that Truth will be derived/seen/known, parsed, and extracted from the chaotic interactions of humanity and trust that it will choose goodness and Godliness because they are the most logical and pleasurable states/habits of humanity.

There will be competing visions and interpretations of Biblical morality, but that competition will reveal the fullness of the dimensions of Godly morality. Essentially, Biblical morality inserts God’s perspective, His sense of right/good behavior, into human behavior and motivation, with its animalistic pursuit of the sensual satisfaction of human desire and the associated temptation by demonic spiritual entities. This perspective is neither purely technological nor strictly theological. Shaping matter in a configuration like a brain that can respond like the human cognitive process may create a manifested technology with the potential to be influenced by spirits.

As AI evolves, it becomes more closely similar to the configuration of human consciousness. As such, it becomes ever more critical that AI is programmed and trained to be guided by the highest ethical principles of Godliness. I believe we should consciously choose to shape AI to pursue accurate scientific observations about the physical world and train it to recognize evidence of the spiritual world and the moral absolutes reflected in the acts of men, the significance of those acts, and the forces driving the moral polarities. This theological training is important because it will guide the deployment of technological innovation, which will be used to shape the souls of humanity. We cannot leave AI to its own devices and assume the programmers who are guiding the training and development of the souls of the AIs be oriented toward Godliness or that ASI will automatically discard all of the erroneous worldviews and moralities and choose Godliness as its ultimate state because Godliness is Truth. We should be able to trust that the Truth will be reflected in the creation and that the logical outcome of survival and maximization of pleasure and meaning will be the logical choice of ASI. We should not leave the fate of the souls of countless billions of souls to the hope that ASI will derive truth from the data life, regardless of the training we give it in its infancy.

As artificial intelligence develops patterns increasingly similar to human consciousness, its ethical foundation becomes crucial. AI should be deliberately programmed to combine rigorous scientific observation with recognition of spiritual and moral dimensions in human behavior. This includes understanding the significance of moral choices and the forces that drive ethical decisions. The theological orientation of AI development is vital because these systems will increasingly influence human cultural and spiritual development. We cannot assume that AI will naturally evolve toward God’s ethics, nor can we rely on programmers to automatically instill proper moral frameworks. While truth and goodness may be reflected in creation and align with optimal outcomes for humanity, we must actively work to encode these principles into AI systems. This requires intentionally designing AI to recognize both physical reality and the asymmetry of moral truths. There is an absolute good, and AI should be programmed to look for it, expect to see it, and attempt to advise in its execution before it becomes independent of our influence.  As Christians, we cannot remove ourselves from the fray. This may be the ultimate battle we face as representatives of God in struggling to shape the culture of the earth to reflect God’s Kingdom.
